Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes including invoice generation, payment posting, and reconciliation
- Resolve billing discrepancies through detailed research and client communication
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate charge capture and coding
- Prepare monthly/quarterly billing reports for leadership review
- Optimize billing workflows to reduce days sales outstanding (DSO)
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with HIPAA/FINRA regulations
- Train staff on billing system updates and process improvements
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of medical or financial services billing experience
- Advanced proficiency in Epic, Meditech, or similar billing platforms
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) credentials strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail (<0.5% error tolerance)
- Proven ability to meet 95%+ billing accuracy targets
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder interactions
