Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile insurance claims across multiple payers
- Manage accounts receivable with aging reports and collection strategies
- Resolve billing discrepancies through payer/provider communication
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Train junior staff on billing protocols and software
- Analyze denial trends to improve first-pass resolution rates
- Collaborate with clinical teams on charge capture accuracy
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) required
- Expertise in Epic EMR and NextGen billing systems
- Strong knowledge of CMS guidelines and Nevada Medicaid
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table proficiency
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
- Experience with RCM cycles and denial management
