Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end revenue cycle management including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies through insurance appeals and patient account adjustments
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific billing regulations
- Analyze denial trends and implement process improvements to reduce claim rejection rates
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify documentation accuracy for coding compliance
- Generate monthly revenue reports and identify opportunities for financial optimization
- Maintain patient account balances through strategic follow-up and correspondence
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of medical billing experience with proven revenue cycle expertise
- Certification in medical billing (CPC, CMA, or CCS-P) strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Epic, Cerner, or NextGen billing systems
- Deep knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding conventions
