Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through effective appeals
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and billing regulations
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and aging reports
- Collaborate with clinical staff to document accurate billing information
- Train staff on billing software updates and best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with CPT/ICD-10 coding
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for patient/provider interactions
- Advanced Excel skills for reporting and reconciliation
