Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes for healthcare clients using Epic EMR systems
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies and claim denials within 48 hours
- Analyze aging reports and implement collections strategies for accounts receivable
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate charge capture and documentation
- Train junior staff on billing compliance and ICD-10/CPT coding standards
- Prepare monthly revenue cycle performance reports for executive leadership
- Conduct quarterly audits of billing processes to identify improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- 5+ years of healthcare billing experience with insurance carriers (Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial)
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) credential
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA, EMTALA, and CMS billing regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Epic Resolute and Epic Clarity reporting tools
- Proven ability to reduce claim denial rates by 15%+ within 6 months
- Experience managing high-volume billing operations (500+ accounts)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or related field
