Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile medical claims with insurance providers (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers)
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits using Epic EMR systems
- Investigate and resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies
- Generate monthly revenue reports and analyze aging accounts receivable
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing documentation
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document charges accurately
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a NY-based healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credentials preferred
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficiency with Epic Resolute or similar EMR platforms
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial details
- Ability to manage high-volume claim processing deadlines
