Responsibilities
- Process complex cash transactions with 100% accuracy including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers
- Resolve customer inquiries regarding account balances, fraud prevention, and digital banking tools
- Actively cross-sell bank products including credit cards, loans, and investment options
- Maintain strict compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and security protocols
- Train junior tellers on new procedures and banking technologies
- Balance daily cash drawer and reconcile discrepancies within established timeframes
- Support branch manager with vault operations and cash inventory management
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of cash handling experience in a financial institution
- Proven ability to maintain cash drawer accuracy with less than $50 variance
- Proficiency in core banking software (e.g., Fiserv, Jack Henry)
- Exceptional communication skills for serving diverse Detroit clientele
- Strong problem-solving abilities for transaction disputes and fraud detection
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Notary public certification preferred
