Responsibilities
- Process high-volume accounts payable transactions with 99.9% accuracy
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment discrepancies proactively
- Reconcile AP sub-ledgers and general ledger accounts monthly
- Optimize invoice processing workflows using SAP/Oracle systems
- Lead month-end closing activities and financial reporting support
- Implement internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure compliance
- Train junior AP staff on best practices and system utilization
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on accounts payable experience in a corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and financial controls
- Proven success in processing 500+ invoices monthly
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- AP or CERP certification preferred
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance
