Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable cycle including invoice processing, 3-way matching, and payment scheduling
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with proactive communication
- Optimize payment workflows through automation tools like QuickBooks and NetSuite
- Conduct month-end closing activities and assist with financial reporting
- Collaborate with procurement on vendor contract terms and early payment discounts
- Implement internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with SOX standards
- Mentor junior AP staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounts payable experience with remote work exposure
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- SAP or Oracle ERP system certification preferred
- Proven track record of reducing invoice processing time by 30%+
- Associates degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Expert knowledge of sales tax compliance across multiple states
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
