Responsibilities
- Process and verify high-volume invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment discrepancies proactively
- Reconcile accounts payable ledger and monthly statements
- Optimize AP processes using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience preferred)
- Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations and internal controls
- Train and mentor junior AP team members
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in accounts payable role
- Proven expertise with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Strong understanding of UK VAT regulations and payment processing
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Problem-solving skills with ability to investigate discrepancies
- Proficient in MS Excel (advanced functions required)
- ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or equivalent finance qualification
