Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable cycle including invoice processing, verification, and payment scheduling
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with precision
- Optimize payment processes to maximize cash flow and discount opportunities
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams on vendor management initiatives
- Implement and maintain internal controls for AP processes
- Generate monthly AP reports and analyze financial metrics
- Train junior AP staff on system protocols and best practices
- Lead quarterly process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven track record of process optimization in AP departments
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-department collaboration
- Experience managing vendor relationships and resolving payment disputes
