Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile complex general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process high-volume accounts payable/receivable transactions in compliance with GAAP
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for executive review
- Lead month-end closing procedures and ensure timely reporting deadlines
- Collaborate with auditors during financial examinations and compliance reviews
- Implement process improvements using advanced Excel and QuickBooks Online
- Train junior accounting staff on financial systems and internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 3+ years of progressive experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel functions
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation preferred
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to identify financial discrepancies
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Experience with ERP systems (Sage 100 or NetSuite a plus)
