Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage complex general ledger activities, including reconciling bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct variance analysis and assist in the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial analysis principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and a strong commitment to ethical standards.
