What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and assist external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Conduct variance analysis to provide insights to management regarding budget vs. actual performance.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices for efficiency.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior-level role.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent understanding of US tax laws, GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
