Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of all balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and accurate collections.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts for executive management review.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risk and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals during year-end and interim audits.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA certification is a plus).
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate or mid-sized firm.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
