Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Analyze financial data to drive strategic business decisions and identify cost optimization opportunities
- Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements, forecasts, and variance reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and industry-specific regulations
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve financial processes and internal controls
- Mentor junior accountants and provide expert guidance on complex accounting matters
- Collaborate with leadership to develop annual budgets and financial strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate accounting
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and reducing operational costs
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and international accounting standards
