Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable/receivable processes for 500+ transactions weekly
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities with SOX compliance
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process optimization initiatives
- Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior accountants through complex financial scenarios
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VLOOKUP/PivotTables)
- Proven track record with month-end close and reconciliation processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and reporting
- Ability to thrive in remote work environments with minimal supervision
