Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger accounting functions and ensure strict accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and P&L.
- Perform thorough bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies immediately.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and audits.
- Process accounts payable and receivable invoices efficiently.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Exceptional analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
