Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger activities and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist in the preparation of complex tax returns and ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed, actionable reporting to senior management.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and intercompany accounts with a high degree of precision.
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain healthy cash flow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CPA certification or CMA is strongly preferred; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or financial services environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong understanding of tax laws and regulatory compliance requirements in New York.
