Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, in strict compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for executive management review.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
- Collaborate with the finance team to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
- Assist in the annual audit process and prepare necessary schedules and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of professional experience in general accounting or financial reporting preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting and presentations.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus but not mandatory.
