Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger accounting activities and ensure accurate financial recording.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial reporting processes and internal controls.
- Conduct regular audits and provide detailed reporting to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
