Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and tax filings.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct internal audits and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or AAT qualified (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role within the UK.
- Strong knowledge of UK tax laws, VAT regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
