Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounting including month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with UK GAAP.
- Oversee the weekly payroll process to ensure timely and accurate employee payments.
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and corporate tax filings.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a regular basis.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or AAT qualified (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Proven experience as an Accountant within the UK market.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
- Deep understanding of UK tax legislation and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
