Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for diverse client portfolios
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure accurate general ledger maintenance
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with journal entries and reconciliations
- Develop and implement internal controls to enhance financial reporting accuracy
- Collaborate with tax professionals for quarterly and annual tax compliance
- Utilize QuickBooks and Excel to streamline financial workflows
- Present financial insights to stakeholders through clear executive summaries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Proven expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for client/stakeholder interactions
- Illinois CPA license required (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
