Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and vendor relationships
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for 50+ employees
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks Online/Enterprise)
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance adherence
- Collaborate with CFO on financial forecasting and budget analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience in California
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Enterprise and MS Excel
- Proven track record of managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Deep knowledge of California tax regulations and payroll compliance
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies and trends
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Experience with financial reporting automation tools (e.g., AutoReconcile)
