Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure full compliance.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Conduct internal audits and financial reviews to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff on accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus but not mandatory.
