Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and reconciled monthly.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to support executive decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal company policies.
- Lead the monthly close process, coordinating with department heads to resolve discrepancies.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during annual reviews.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely vendor payments and customer collections.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and provide variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or mid-sized organization.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
