Responsibilities
- Manage Monthly Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Payroll Management: Oversee the weekly payroll process to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time, handling all related tax filings.
- General Ledger Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly to ensure data accuracy.
- Cost Accounting & Analysis: Analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures to provide actionable insights to management.
- Compliance & Audits: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of GAAP and assist in internal and external audits.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate or financial services environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or Xero, and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- License: CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory for this role.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
