Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports for stakeholders
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and implement process improvements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal control policies
- Collaborate with auditors during financial examinations and tax filings
- Maintain accurate financial records in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Lead special projects including system implementations and process automation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks/NetSuite)
- Proven experience with month-end closes and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize competing tasks
- Effective communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
