Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee the daily operations of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely posting of all financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Reconciliation: Perform complex bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable reviews, and inter-company eliminations.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in the preparation of annual audits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial reporting and data analysis.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably within the financial services or corporate sector.
- Certification: CPA certification is strongly preferred; CMA or MBA is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to communicate complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
