Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closings
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports with precision
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and state/federal tax regulations for California businesses
- Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, investments, and corporate credit cards
- Develop and implement efficient accounting workflows using QuickBooks and ERP systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial records with audit-ready documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- Minimum 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in Sacramento or Northern California
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and accounting software
- Demonstrated knowledge of California tax laws and payroll compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to identify discrepancies in financial data
