Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Oversee payroll processing for 50+ employees with bi-weekly accuracy
- Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
- Implement process improvements using QuickBooks and Excel automation
- Mentor junior accountants on financial best practices
- Develop budget forecasts and cash flow projections
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with construction or manufacturing accounting a plus
