Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycles including ledger reconciliations and financial reporting
- Oversee VAT returns, tax compliance, and statutory filings ensuring adherence to HMRC regulations
- Lead budgeting processes and variance analysis for departmental financial performance
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure audit readiness
- Mentor junior accountants while maintaining accurate financial records in SAP and QuickBooks systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and cost efficiencies
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with minimum 5 years post-qualification experience
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel
- Demonstrated expertise in UK GAAP and tax compliance frameworks
- Exceptional analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and forecasting
- Proven track record in managing high-volume transaction processing and reconciliations
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience mentoring finance professionals
- Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized institution
