Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports to inform strategic decisions
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and internal controls
- Oversee payroll processing and tax filings with precision and timeliness
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements for financial efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis initiatives
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and support external audit requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with demonstrated expertise in financial reporting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks
- Proven ability to manage complex financial projects and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in multi-state operations and payroll processing
- Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders at all levels
