Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Bookkeeping: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Compliance: Ensure the organization remains compliant with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced functions), and ERP systems.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to stakeholders.
