Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process and provide necessary documentation.
- Support the budgeting process by providing variance analysis and forecasting insights to management.
- Streamline internal financial processes and implement best practices for efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
