Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily general ledger accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Conduct thorough bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and support external audits with required documentation.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring vendor and client relationships are maintained professionally.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions and accounting software to generate detailed financial reports for management review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or general ledger management.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and federal/state tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor junior accounting staff.
