Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger activities and ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all general ledger accounts are reconciled timely.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with department heads to support budget planning and forecasting efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
