Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports with precision
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and state-specific financial requirements
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
- Lead budgeting processes and provide variance analysis to senior leadership
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual reviews
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Streamline accounting workflows using advanced ERP systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate settings
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel with pivot table mastery
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and reconciliation processes
- Proven track record of improving accounting efficiency and accuracy
- Strong knowledge of Arizona state tax regulations and compliance requirements
