Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and timely posting of journal entries.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and support external audits to ensure 100% compliance.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, managing vendor relationships and cash flow.
- Implement and improve internal controls and accounting processes to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is highly preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
