Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring full compliance with all regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and recommend improvements to internal controls and financial processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies with high accuracy.
- Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to senior management to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual reviews and ensure audit requirements are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master’s in Accounting (MAcc) preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and tax compliance standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
