Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Manage general ledger operations, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Coordinate annual audits and tax preparation with external partners
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting accuracy
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-departmental financial training
- Utilize ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) for data integrity and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in full-cycle accounting and month-end/quarter-end close
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and QuickBooks
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations (CA state/Federal)
- Proven experience with ERP implementation and optimization
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and deadlines
