Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including GL reconciliation, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to ensure SOX compliance and audit readiness.
- Analyze financial data trends and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance functions.
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives to optimize financial workflows and cost efficiency.
- Prepare detailed financial statements, budgets, and variance analysis for stakeholders.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and implement process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure.
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Excel (VBA, Power Query).
- Proven experience managing month-end closes and audit processes.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement across all levels.
