Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate general ledger records and perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and credit cards.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and collections to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is organized and readily accessible.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze variances between budget and actual performance and provide actionable insights to management.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement efficient software solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of federal and state tax regulations and compliance requirements.
