The Role:
In this pivotal position, you will oversee key financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. You will work closely with the CFO and department heads to drive financial decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Lead the external audit process, coordinating with auditors and providing necessary documentation.
- Streamline internal financial processes and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
