Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and recorded in a timely manner.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure timely filing with federal and state authorities.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during the year-end audit process.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
