We're seeking a meticulous Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Baltimore. Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations with 99.9% accuracy
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for executive stakeholders
- Lead internal audit coordination and external compliance requirements
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience preferred)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-departmental finance projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP platforms
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Baltimore-based candidates with local industry knowledge preferred
