Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries and account reconciliations are accurate and timely.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes to meet critical deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and recommend process improvements to enhance financial controls and efficiency.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast budgets, track variances, and provide financial insights.
- Support the external audit process by providing requested documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a strong plus).
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and high accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with diverse stakeholders.
