Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure timely filing with federal and state authorities.
- Conduct internal audits and financial reviews to identify process improvements and reduce risk.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely disbursements to employees.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support budget preparation.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity within the accounting software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA certification or CPA candidacy is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and MS Excel (Advanced functions).
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
