Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Manage full-cycle accounting including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Develop and implement financial controls to ensure compliance with UK GAAP
- Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews and tax filings
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives for multiple business units
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvements
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent UK accounting certification
- Minimum 5 years' experience in senior accounting roles
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Proven expertise in UK tax regulations and compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience managing multi-currency transactions
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
